Peace, Health And Joy In His Presence

"There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High."
Psalm 46:4

When we are in His divine presence, we can still be at ease and be glad, amidst all the commotions, outbreaks and threatenings around us. We can flourish and enjoy perfect health, and nourish and refresh others when we make the stream flow through us (Ezek.47:9).

God Speaks Peace

"I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly."
Psalm 85:8

God alone can speak peace to our troubled spirits. Let us be cautious to listen to His voice and yield to His words in order to relish His peace and be careful not to turn to our own folly lest we lose it.

Peace - The Basic But The Most Excellent Favor

"He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you with the finest of wheat."
Psalm 147:14

Peace is the world's most excellent blessing of an abode and it is the God of peace in whom we can find that real rest for our soul. The peace that God gives is followed by His abundance - the best sort of favor one can enjoy. Peace is the fundamental, essential blessing that we need and all other favors are an addition to it. Let us seek our Peace Maker, Lord and Peace Giver to be satisfied with His peace and thereby enjoy all His extra favors too.

Highest Possible Peace

"..the peace of God which trascends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:7

Perfect peace is from God and never from the world (John 14:27). So it is inevitable that we have a fitting alliance with God, confidently committing all our charge to Him. Let us not carry our own baggage but leave everything to Him in prayer. Our God of peace will keep our hearts and minds from all concerns, anxieties and agitations and fill us with the highest possible kind of peace.
