Get Palsy-walsy With God

"..Bring them closer to me, so I can bless them."
Genesis 48:9

Our heavenly Father calls us to draw near Him to be blessed. As we draw near Him, He draws nigh to us, gifts His presence, announces us His love and grace, enlightens all our darkness and grants all His favor. Let none hinder our access to God. The comforts of His closeness are doubly sweet. Let us not hesitate to come under His influence and inspiration. In Him do we find good pastures.

Blessing Poured With No Prior Signs Or Symptoms

"You will see neither wind nor rain, says the Lord, but this valley will be filled with water.."
2 Kings 3:17

Let us make known to God all our needs, and eagerly await His favor, not inquiring from where or how it will be supplied. Let us make necessary preparations (v.16), actively and largely (Isaiah 54:2), to receive His supplies, not putting limits on His ability. His provision to us will be a deception to the enemy but an ascendancy to us.

Be Piloted By God Into The New Year

"Go! This is the day the Lord has given.. into your hands. Has He not gone ahead of you?"
Judges 4:14

Let us be encouraged to go on with courage and cheer into the new year, as our almighty God goes before us, assuring us of His favor and aid. He prepares the way and guides us along. Let us make sure that He leads and be guaranteed of success and blessings ahead. Let us be shepherded by Him and feel safe.

Reaffirmation of His Presence

"I am God.. do not be afraid.. I will go down with you and I will surely bring you back again."
Genesis 46:3,4

We now and then need God's reassurance of His love, care and presence as we journey on this earth. If we ask God, He always reaffirms His covenant to us. He promises to go down with us until death to bring us up again to glory. Let us not be afraid to go forward into the new year or anywhere else where God wants us to go. He is always there with us through our everything.

Universal King - Monarch of Our Lives

"For God is the King of all the earth; sing to Him a psalm of praise."
Psalm 47:7

The sovereignty of God is universal. There is no restraint to His power nor any restriction to His reign and supremacy. If we let the universal King rule our lives and hearts, we would worry over nothing but always will sing His praises, relishing each and every word that we sing. Our hearts and heads will go with the song, exalting Him, who alone is worthy of praise.

Wise Men Seek God

"Where is the newborn King..? We saw His star.., and we have come to worship Him."
Matthew 2:2

If at all we are wise, we would seek God diligently everyday with eager expectation, inquiring anxiously of Him, searching the Scriptures, as the wise men did. We would bow down before the King of kings to worship and adore Him, pay Him our vows and lay all that is valuable to us at His feet.

Our Personal Boon

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given.."
Isaiah 9:6

Our Almighty God considered nothing of Him and took the form of man, bringing glad tidings to us. He came down for our personal benefit, to make us His own, to enlighten all our darkness and give us joy and peace. Let us love Him with a child's love, consecrating us wholly to Him and avail all His merits and favor. He is a personal boon for us from heaven, but how personal is He to us?

Internal Healer

"Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them: and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth."
Jeremiah 33:6

We serve a God who can rehabilitate us from all our wreckages. Most of our injuries are internal, for which we need an internal Healer to heal and bind all our wounds. He not just heals, but restores to us perfect health and shows us the way to walk in perfect and permanent peace and stabilizes us with His truth.

Neighbours' Envy, God's Pride

"..God will rescue His people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown."
Zechariah 9:16

We are unique children of God, sheltered and cared, held in high regard and treasured by God Himself. His care for us will draw others' attention towards the Lord who honors and cares for us and even our foes will see the anointing of the Lord upon us. Let us humble ourselves enough to be a sheep in His flock.

God's Special Presence Abides With Us

"My Spirit remains among you, just as I promised.. so do not be afraid."
Haggai 2:5

God's Spirit of strength and courage, of wisdom an understandng abides with us to strengthen, inspire and aid us to carry on His purpose and work in us. Hence there is no reason for us to fear any opposition, hindrance or discouragement. Let us be strong enough to accomplish His purpose in our life because His special presence is always with us.

Recognition Instead Of Condemnation

"..I will rescue the lame and gather those who have been scattered. I will give them praise and honor in every land where they were put to shame."
Zephaniah 3:19

The Lord will heal all our infirmities and remove all our defects, commend us and give us a title, where we were once condemned and unknown. He will make us valuable and beneficial, where we were unfitting and useless. Instead of all the shame that we experienced, God will give us glory and honor. Let us not be disheartened.

God Bestows All Wisdom And Ability

"..You have given me wisdom and power, You have made known to me what we asked of You.."
Daniel 2:23

It is God who gives us the courage of mind to daringly face any critical situation and it is He who strengthens our faith in prayer to receive what we ask for. He gives us the intelligence and capability to tackle anything around. Let us render all thanks to God for all His tributes to us because none of our talent features to be our own but His.

Praises And Vows To God

"Praise awaits You, O God, in Zion; to You our vows will be fulfilled."
Psalm 65:1

Infinite and dearest are God's mercies to us to be forgotten. When we are filled with His intense love, we would be awestruck to express our esteem for Him, and praise Him in quietness, recollecting all that He has done for us. Let us also not forget our vows to Him but renew them. Beginning a day with praises to God brings us a dewy freshness, and continuing His praises all through the day fills us with high spirits and acclivites our thoughts.

Instant, Thorough And Lasting Liberty

"Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away."
Nahum 1:13

The Lord promises us an instant and total rescue from our oppressor. He will not just detach his yoke off from us but break it off to pieces. He will not just undo his knot but blow it up to nothing so that the subduer can never again return back to us. We can no longer be bent down by his burden nor be fastened by his cord. The Lord assures us a thorough and permanent liberty.

Elevator Of Our Heads

""..You, O Lord, are a shield around me; You are my glory, the One who holds my head high."
Psalm 3:3

God is our protective covering, guarding us from any harm that is propelled against us. He is the One who raises us to all honor and glory. Though we hang down our head in sorrow at present, He will soon lift it and hold it up forever. He will lift up our heads by elevating our disgrace to respect, our ailment to wholesome, our mourning to joy and all our declines to ascents.

Glorious Triumph

"I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously.."
Exodus 15:1

Let us all join in the song to sing God's praises. Let us honor and exalt His name and celebrate His victory. He does wondrous things out of ordinary sequence of nature, in unexpected ways and in an unbelievable time. Let us feel relieved, for He has taken away all burdens from our shoulders, extoling His power. He has fought our battle and won, and always will.

Hear The Echo Of His Voice

"One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: that You, O God, are strong."
Psalm 62:11

God speaks once and it is done. He is unchangeable over what He has said. So there is no need for Him to repeat. But we need the ear to hear the echo of His voice again and again. All strength and ability required to defend and save us, belongs to God. When all else fails, His power will never fail. Let us be encouraged to trust His power alone at all times.

More Blessed.. More Accountable

"..when someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required."
Luke 12:48

God wants us to be loving, caring and responsible servers of Him. We need to be faithful with whatever work we are delegated. God has placed some people under our custody, expecting us to love them with the heart of Jesus. We are accountable to God for all whom He has entrusted with us.

God's Unchangeableness - Our Anchor

"I am the Lord, and I do not change. That is why you ..are not already destroyed."
Malachi 3:6

We live in a diverging world where everything - from material to men keep changing. Nothing stays as it used to be. But our infinite God never changes a bit. He can never change His love and purpose for us. He always abides by His covenant. His unchangeableness is our great anchor. He will never let us perish but defend us amidst any dangerous circumstance with His everlasting love.
