From Bone-dry To Abundance

"Even the most desolate parts of your abandoned land will soon be crowded with your people. Your enemies who enslaved you will be far away."
Isaiah 49:19

Our barrenness will not last forever. God will richly pour out His blessing in every dry area of our life - it may be our spiritual growth, marital status, finance, studies, etc. His outpouring will be so much so that we will not have enough space to receive it. All that and those that devoured our riches will no more bother us.

Rejecting A Very Fair Offer

"..“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
Romans 9:33

Even today we see people despising and rejecting Christ, goofing their way, thereby missing their end. But there are a few who still believe in Him, who are never ashamed nor their hopes ever perish. He who is a sure foundation for those who believe Him will be a trap and a snare to the unbelievers (Isa.8:14; 28:16).

Persuaded By God To Accomplish

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Deuteronomy 31:8

We don't need to fear to face any endeavor however hard it may be because God co-exists with us in all our ventures to organize the process, to guide us and to open the doors before us. He will not leave us until our cause is settled.

From Dashed Hopes To Gracious Providence

"O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles."
Psalm 43:3

We live in darkness with dashed hopes, not knowing what else to do or which way to go, desparately waiting to see if His promises will be fulfilled. But if God imparts His light through His word, we will be directed towards His gracious providence and be led in His way towards heavenly realms.

Glorify Him While Seeking His Mercies

"I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue."
Psalm 66:17

Prayer and praise should always go together. Let our hearts always be filled to it's brim with His praises, ready to burst out constantly, so that whenever we kneel down in prayer, we will be able to acknowledge His past mercies and hopefully expect His new favors.

A Terror To The Terrible Kings

"He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth."
Psalm 76:12

God can utterly collapse the wrath, pride, madness and vengeance of the princes of the world. He can embarass their schemes and deprive them of their self-esteem and confidence. He is a terror to those who terrify us. No great king can contend with God. Let Him alone be the object of our fear. The Most High awesome God and the great King over all the earth will be pleased to stand by our side when we revere Him and commit all our concerns to Him.

Hear, Acknowledge And Live In His Favor

"Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of your countenance."
Psalm 89:15

As a sheep is aware of it's shepherd's voice, so should we be all ears to the revelations of God. Our inner man should make joyful acclamations, always acknowledging the presence of the King of kings with us, and thus experience living under the favor of the most High all day long.

Fear God To Know His Secrets

"The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant."
Psalm 25:14

When we truly revere God, we will have intimacy with Him, know His purposes, intentions, providences and things that are yet to come. He will do nothing without revealing his plan to us (Amos 3:7). He will also show us His covenant and authenticate the blessings of it on us. We will be the ones to know and experience His favor.

I Am Still Not Dead

"Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light."
Micah 7:8

Let us not give space to satan, evil men or even the doubts of our hearts to rejoice over our failures, because we are still not dead but waiting for the Lord's light to shine upon us. Let us not despair but wait for His hand to lift us up in due time. The Lord will change our circumstances and illuminate our lives.

The Great Creator Is Our Help

"Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."
Psalm 124:8

How fortunate are we to have the Creator of the whole world as our help! He who fashioned every little detail in you and me will provide, defend, comfort and strengthen us. Let us count on Him for all our concerns, because our concern becomes His when we take it to Him, and He perfects all that concerns us (138:8).

Be Tagged With God

"..the life of my lord will be bound securely in the bundle of the living by the LORD your God, but the lives of your enemies he will hurl away as from the pocket of a sling."
1 Samuel 25:29

If we let God to be our Proprietor, and be fastened with Him, then none can injure us. He will keep us secure under His care and protection, and cast away the foe and all our stumbling blocks. So we never have to take revenge over anyone but cast all our cares to Him. He will preserve us carefully and treasure up our soul for eternal life.

Sing To See His Judgement Upon The Enemy

"And the LORD will make his majestic voice heard. He will display the strength of his mighty arm.."
Isaiah 30:30

When we sing God's praise and rejoice in Him with gladness of heart (vs.29), then the Lord will raise His voice against the enemy and lift His mighty arm to beat down every power that works against Him and His children and break down any stronghold against us.

Broadcast His Glory

"I will speak of the glorious honor of your majesty, and of your wondrous works."
Psalm 145:5

Speaking of God's grandeur is an act of praise and worship. Let us never hesitate to be known as His worshiper nor feel shy to publicize His excellence. Let us not only adore Him silently but also speak of Him in our normal day 2 day discourses.

God Perceives Our Desires And Sighs

"All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you."
Psalm 38:9

Let us lay all our desires before God, because He examines them and determines what can be done. Let our longings always be right, because though we are mute, God Knows them all. He also understands the secret groanings of our shortcomings and helps us out. God will forbid open rebuke if we are sorry about the blemishes in our soul. He loves and heals the broken-hearted.

The Righteous Fall Heir To His Properties

"The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever."
Psalm 37:29

Sometimes, being right does not seem to help out, and the unrighteous seem to prosper. But there soon will be a time when the wicked weeds will be pulled out and we would reap the fruit of righteousness. As children of the righteous God, let us not fret but be patient in doing all that is right, for we are the legal heirs of His land. The land shall be our everlasting habitation.

A Road After God

"Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps."
Psalm 85:13

Being righteous in all our words and deeds is that which stands before God. Righteousness is His footstep, a pathway for us to follow. Let us do whatever is right with our time, talents, wealth and with our colleagues. Let us better choose a tougher one that is right than a flexible one that is wrong. Righteousness will help us to meet God and follow His ways, assuring us joy and refinement.

Love = Obedience To God

"And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love."
2 John 6

Putting the word of God into action is 'Love'. We can love God and men best when we obey His commands. Love and truth coordinate with one another, and we can love a person truly only it is in obedience and harmony to the word of God.

U-turn

"..but now the tables were turned and.. got the upper hand over those who hated them."
Esther 9:1

Nothing is too inferior for God to uplift nor too superior for Him to bring down. He can bring in a last-minute reversal order in any of our cause. All power in heaven and earth is His. We can always be courageous if we stand on God's side.

Priceless Promises

"..with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it -- as it is today."
1 Kings 8:24

The promises of God should be the base of all our ambition, reliance and anticipation because God is an assured performer of His word. When His promises are our sustenance and pleasure, the fulfillment of them will be our diadem.

Lord, Do As You Said

"And now, LORD God, keep forever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised,"
2 Samuel 7:25

Let us first seek to know what God has promised us, treasure it as a promissory note, live in faith expecting it to be fulfilled and just pray, "Lord, do as you said." None of His promises will be broken. God delights in fulfilling His word for us. But it is in our part to keep praising Him for His promises, reminding Him about it until He accomplishes it.

Privileged To Work For The Proprietor Of The Universe

"To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it."
Deuteronomy 10:14

How privileged are we to work for the proprietor of the universe! How favored are we to be His treasured possession among all His creations! How much should we seek to please and draw His attention towards us and be benefitted with all His goodness!

Be Righteous To Be Bold

"In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you."
Isaiah 54:14

As long as we stick on to righteousness, and are aware about our position with God, we will be least afraid of any terror or oppression, and nothing but God and His word can dominate us.

Praises Effectuate

"I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and have been saved from my enemies."
2 Samuel 22:4

We can be assured of God's intervention, when we call on Him with praises and thanksgiving. On the other hand we demean Him by complaining, lamenting and doubting, and let us not expect Him to work for us. Our praises determine the aftermath of our prayers, for He alone deserves our praises and we are emboldened to call upon Him when we thank Him for all His past goodness.

Just Fear God To Inherit

"He fulfills to desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them."
Psalm 145:19

When we fear God at all times and serve Him with an holy awe, He will lay His will and the flow of His longings in our hearts and grant our every desire. When we beseech His aid with all reverence, He is sure to answer and redeem us.

All From Him And All For Him

"For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever!Amen."
Romans 11:36

God is the spring and fountain of all, and all things are from and through Him. He is the source, sustainer and backer of all beings. So let all our words, thoughts and deeds be for Him and His glory. Let everything we do reflect His glory. Let our hearts be directed towards His honor and adoration. Whatever we begin to say or do, let God's glory be the end.

Break Your Silence, Lord

"My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent,"
Psalm 109:1

One word from God is all we need when we struggle. His word that created the whole world is all-powerful to defend us and silence our revilers. Let us entrust all our praises to God alone and dare to break His silence with a heart that is innocent and right before God.

The God Of All Our Hope Still Lives

"The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!"
Psalm 18:46

Though our fame, luxury, our loved ones, the world all may pass away, but the God whom we serve is alive and immortal, always there to refresh and restore us. As heirs of the living God, let us carry on with more and more expectations from Him, live upon our portion, making use of His fullness. May our souls revive to bless and extol Him, who is the assured footing of all our hope.

Heavenly Home On Earth

"..he blesses the home of the righteous."
Proverbs 3:33

Whatever little or more the righteous has, he has it with the blessing of God, which would be much better than the bounteous riches of the wicked. The home of the righteous would be a residence of overflowing love, joy and peace, an academy of spiritual practice and a venue of heavenly worship, with God as our permanent Guest, receiving all our honor and hospitality.

Prayer Based On His Name And Mercy

"Now you, LORD my God, defend me for your name's sake; because your gracious love is good, deliver me!"
Psalm 109:21

Let us plead with God to deal with us not according to our merit but for the glory and honor of His name. Let God undertake our cause and do whatever He thinks fit for us. Let us fix our eyes on His bounteous mercies to be redeemed from all our woes and bindings.

All is His And At His Dispose

"Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Evreything under heaven belongs to me."
Job 41:11

It is God's absolute grace to be courteous with us and to grant us any of His favor. We can never claim anything from Him by justifying ourselves or our cause. Every little thing on earth is His and at His dispose. Let us therefore wait with all humility to receive His favor without complaining, and receive with praise and thanksgiving whatever He grants.

God's Choice - The Best Choice

"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance."
Psalm 16:6

When we have God for our portion, we are the most blessed ones. Let us not be disappointed when people do not give us the right space. Though we may not have things or life according to our own choice, it is God who determines our lot and it will surely be the best ones for us. He Himself settles down all our cause. Let us cheerfully accept His lot.
