Loving Father Also An Impartial Judge

"Since you call on a Father who judges each person's work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear."
1 Peter 1:17

We who call on God as our Father and claim ourselves to be called His children, should have an awful fear that He is also our Judge, who visits us with corrections when we err, so that we gain our citizenship in our Father's house in heaven. But we need not possess a slavish fear that can never coexist with the perfect love of our Father that is shed abroad in our hearts, but hav a holy fear that drowns down all other fear for men, satan, death or judgement.
